Anna Berg
Anna Berg is a Norwegian Vietnamese composer from Kolbotn, Norway, based in Paris and Oslo. Her catalogue comprises a wide range of works for symphony orchestra, string orchestra, sinfonietta and choir, in addition to works for chamber constellations such as string quartets and trios. She also composes music for film and dance, and has created the score for the film DRØMMER (DREAMS) by renowned Norwegian director Dag Johan Haugerud.
Berg’s works are performed regularly at concerts and festivals in Norway, the Nordic countries and Europe, among them at Ultima, Bergen International Festival, Interpuls, Baltic Sea Festival, Arctic Chamber Music Festival, International Rostrum of Composers, Norland Musikkfestuke and Ung Nordisk Musikk, and by prominent musicians and ensembles, such as Pekka Kuusisto, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Christian Eggen, Oslo Sinfonietta, Guro Kleven Hagen, Amalie Stalheim, Eivind Ringstad, The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, Arctic Philharmonic, Ensemble Allegria, Ensemble Ernst, Seatle's Sound Ensemble, and many more.
In 2019, Berg founded Ensemble 3030, a contemporary music ensemble based in Oslo. She is a member of The Norwegian Society of Composers, Norsk komponistforening and Syndicat français des compositrices et compositeurs de musique contemporaine.
