Torqueoryx (2023) is about power and effect. The piece consists of loud columns of sound and melodic lines that collide. The melody lines twist and spin around themselves and grow out of each other's reverberations. At the beginning the lines are fewer and clearer, and during the play they become more and more numerous. The lines always have force and direction, and are always reaching towards something, where they compete with each other for their place in the soundscape.
