JJMM representing George E. Lewis worldwide

Having previously worked with George E. Lewis when he signed with Edition Peters in 2019, I’m now able to share that he has joined James Joslin Music Management for worldwide representation.

During our time working together at Edition Peters we were able to develop some exciting projects including Minds in Flux for the BBC Proms and Amo for the Venice Biennale. This renewed relationship means that we are able to continue to create new opportunities for commissioning and performances of his work.

Lewis is composer-in-residence at this month’s Festival Bern which will include the premiere of Ein Teufel im Dom (A Devil in the Cathedral) for wind-dynamic organ and ensemble. Conducted by Vimbayi Kaziboni, the piece sits alongside a number of his other works at the festival including Voyager, Born Obbligato, and a sound installation taking input from Bern’s weather data called Remains of the Sky.

On 5 October, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien and conductor Roland Kluttig will premiere Your Network is Unstable at Radio Österreich 1’s Musikprotokoll. The work is a co-commission with Music Biennale Zagreb. Later in the same month, saxophonist Roscoe Mitchell, SWR Sinfonieorchester and an AI-pianist will premiere a new double concerto, The Reincarnation of Blind Tom, at Donaueschinger Musiktage, conducted Susan Blumenthal.

Get in touch to discuss new commission opportunities. For existing works, Lewis’ music is published by Edition Peters.
