Night Dances released on Hanni Liang's album Voices

Sally's Beamish's Night Dances, recorded by Hanni Liang, is available now on Delphian.

Night Dances was premiered by Huw Watkins in 2018 and commissioned by the Court of the University of Glasgow under the terms of the McEwen Bequest. Based on a narrative by Peter Thomson, it imagines darkness as a prelude to dancing and activity..

The piece sits alongside works by Ethel Smyth, Errollyn Wallen, Eleanor Alberga and Chen Yi in an album celebrating women's voices.
